Lucius Books Project Completion

We’re thrilled to share the completed transformation of Lucius Books, now proudly settled into its beautifully restored home on Micklegate in York.

This historic building has been lovingly brought back to life, with its original charm and character carefully preserved. Working in partnership with Wolds Furniture, we carried out the renovation works, restoring the fabric of the building and highlighting the period features that make this space so special. Wolds completed the interior fit‑out, designing and handcrafting bespoke cabinetry that sits perfectly within the building’s wonderfully quirky layout.

From the handcrafted joinery to the hand‑painted finishes, every detail was chosen to honour the building’s story while creating a warm, welcoming home for this much‑loved independent bookshop.

It’s been an absolute joy working with our clients on such a unique and meaningful project. Lucius Books now begins its next chapter with a renewed sense of heritage, brand‑new signage, and a beautifully restored space that celebrates York’s history. A truly special project, delivered together.
